He is living alongside both skilled grid workers and individuals responsible for ensuring the site has heat, light and prepared meals. In New York, Jon Sawyer, the manager of grid operations at NYISO, has been living on-site at the NYISO control center in East Greenbush since March 23. Like NYISO, PJM is also making plans for sequestration of control room operators - or living on-site - if doing so becomes necessary. PJM is also asking workers to self-quarantine at home when they’re not on shift and encouraging them to conduct temperature checks before coming to work. PJM said it’s prepared to leave the pandemic response plans in place into the summer months if necessary. PJM officials on their first weekly coronavirus briefing Friday outlined steps it’s taking to respond, including transitioning control room workers to two 12-hour shifts, cleaning work stations before and after each shift, and dedicating building entrances for control room operators and established "staging centers" to eliminate person-to-person handoffs between shifts. One of those grid operators is PJM Interconnection, which operates the grid in 13 Midwest and Mid-Atlantic states and the District of Columbia. "People are trying to gather information from us about what we did, what worked, what we think didn’t work, sort of a lessons learned, so to the extent to this pandemic spreads more drastically across the country and they’ve got to take similar steps, they put those plans in place, as well." Much like the guns there’s a large variety of moves, which does help in making the combat a little more varied. Skills are also available for your pilot and can be swapped in and out in the hub. Loot generally affects your ships and what type of weapons they have, how much damage you can take, and movement speed. ![]() You can use credits to buy more slots, but a couple of slots is generally enough, as you’ll either sell loot or turn them into blueprints of slightly weaker versions of the weapon. Once a mission is over, each item can then be deposited into your limited inventory space. This is a shame because I liked the concept of making ships using loot obtained from the missions. Drifting Lands sadly uses everything a bit too much. With more levels than is absolutely necessary, the challenge is how to design each level to feel unique in order to prevent reusing content. Sidescrolling shooters are intrinsically designed, but they purposefully have few levels in order to encourage replay value. The fact of the matter is the sheer amount of levels is what ruins Drifting Lands. To me, this is a very unusual oversight as it would have led to much more diverse level design. Gradius for example tends to begin levels with a few waves of enemies, but then changes things up with… oh you know… land? It’s somewhat ironic that a game called Drifting Lands would be devoid of any land-based obstacles. Sidescrolling shooters tend to have a little more to the level design than just the waves of ships. ![]() ![]() Through an extended analysis of the gaze as socialized through gendered learning in children, the “safe space” afforded through the formulaic platform of “boy bands,” and the function of romantic comedies and the emerging feminist rhetoric prevalent in such films as “Magic Mike: XXL,” the conceptual “female gaze” is defined and explored through the demographic of young girls as they grow and push their understanding of desire, particularly as they develop into the mature, media-cosuming women that have become increasingly vocal in the Hollywood sphere.
